The Build

WHAT IS A FIGHT SHORT ACTUALLY MADE OF?

Almost every fight short on the market is polyester or nylon. Under the friction and heat of grappling, synthetic fabric sheds plastic fiber against your skin. This one is built the other way: an organic cotton and Tencel shell that breathes and moves moisture, a merino wool brief that holds temperature in both directions, and a natural rubber waistband instead of synthetic elastic. The gusset is reinforced and built in, so the cut survives the guard without restricting it.

WHAT PEOPLE ASK BEFORE THE DROP

Why does the Fight Short have no pockets?
The 6-inch cut is built for grappling. Pockets catch fingers, toes, and your partner's grip on the mat, so the competition geometry leaves them out. If you want functional pockets for the gym, the Training Short has a zip pocket that fits a phone.
Is the Fight Short really free of plastic and PFAS?
Yes. The shell is 60% organic cotton and 40% Tencel lyocell, the liner is merino wool, and the waistband is natural rubber. There is no polyester, no synthetic elastic, and no added PFAS chemistry anywhere in the short.
What sports is it built for?
BJJ, MMA, Muay Thai, and kickboxing. The close 6-inch cut moves with the guard and stays out of the way during scrambles and clinch work.
How do I care for it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang dry. Natural fibers last longer out of the dryer, and skipping the heat keeps the merino liner in shape.
